At Sprouted Roots, we specialize in providing speech therapy services for children aged 18 months to 10 years who are on the autism spectrum, have apraxia of speech, are gestalt language processors, or use AAC devices. Our goal is to empower every child to communicate effectively and confidently in their own unique way.

We believe that every child deserves highly attuned, customized care that respects their individual needs and abilities. Our compassionate speech-language pathologists are skilled in providing trauma-informed and neuroinclusive services that presume competence and respect each child's autonomy.

Our approach is tailored to the specific needs of each child. For children on the autism spectrum, we focus on building social communication skills and supporting sensory processing needs. For those with apraxia of speech, we use evidence-based techniques to improve motor planning and speech sound production. We have experience supporting gestalt language processors, helping them expand their language skills while honoring their natural communication style. And for children who use AAC devices, we provide training and support to ensure they can communicate effectively across all environments.

Karah Lynch

Karah is a neurodivergent speech therapist who specializes in supporting young children with unique communication needs. Her clinical areas of expertise include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), apraxia of speech, gestalt language processing, and interoceptive awareness.

As someone who was minimally speaking until age 8, Karah draws from her own lived experience to deeply connect with her clients. She understands the challenges of finding one’s voice and is passionate about creating an affirming space for children to communicate freely.

In therapy sessions, Karah blends evidence-based practices with principles of technology, mindfulness, and playful interactions. This multi-modal approach helps children feel safe, engaged and motivated on their communication journey.

Karah’s commitment is to build strong, compassionate relationships with each child and family. Through attunement, patience and celebrating small victories, she aims to nurture every child’s ability to effectively express themselves.

Whether working on robust AAC systems, apraxia treatment, helping gestalt communicators expand their scripts, or building interoceptive awareness, Karah customizes therapy to honor each child’s strengths, interests and optimal learning channels.

Leah is dedicated to helping your child communicate their thoughts and feelings in whatever way they are able.

She believes trust and connection are the most important factors in any therapeutic relationship and works hard to develop these with my clients and their families.
